The project  “Development and Upgradation to a Strategic Research Area for Poverty Eradication and Social Opportunity Creation”

Assistant Professor Dr. Srisunant Prasertsang, Vice President for Research and Local Development Innovation (project research leader), together with Professor Sasikarn Musikavanhu, the leader of sub-team 2, and the data research team, engaged in discussions with the Director of the Agricultural and Agricultural Cooperatives Bank Office in Roi Et. The meeting, held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 1:30 PM at the meeting room on the second floor of the Agricultural and Agricultural Cooperatives Bank office in Roi Et, focused on collaborative project implementation and advancing economic initiatives for community enterprises by addressing poverty and reducing disparities. The approach emphasizes enhancing access to career development opportunities, education, and technology equitably, based on sustainable development principles using research findings, knowledge, technology, and innovations within the community.

During the meeting, integration strategies for the target households’ data from the PPPConnext system with members of the Agricultural Bank were discussed. The session aimed to analyze and evaluate the situations of target groups, including the examination of community enterprise members’ savings accounts to facilitate economic changes in Roi Et province. This would empower locals to generate higher income or develop skills, fostering a robust self-reliance in their livelihoods.

Furthermore, Roi Et Rajabhat University presented the book “Bridging the Gap: Overcoming Poverty in Over-a-Hundred-City, Hug Community Roi Et Poverty Forum,” which disseminates the strategic research area development information aimed at poverty eradication and social opportunity creation in Roi Et Province. This publication shares valuable research outcomes beneficial to government agencies, private sectors, and network partners, emphasizing systematic problem-solving to cover all aspects and promote active participation from all sectors to enhance the potential of the impoverished in Roi Et to lead sustainable and secure lives.
