Roi Et Rajabhat University organized a strategic development forum for the project aimed at enhancing systems and mechanisms for access to health services for cross-border populations along the Thai-Lao border. The forum was supported by the Health Promotion Fund (ThaiHealth), Office 9. Associate Professor Dr. Satchatham Porntaveekul, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Human Development at Roi Et Rajabhat University, chaired the project. The event took place on October 11-12, 2024, at the Faculty of Education and Human Development, Roi Et Rajabhat University.
The focus of this forum was to bring together a working group that deliberated until they formulated a plan for improving the quality of life of the cross-border populations in the Mekong River area. This initiative is part of a broader effort to integrate health service access across the region, ensuring that cross-border populations receive consistent and comprehensive healthcare support.
