On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, the “Green Heart New Star Club” at
Rajabhat Roi Et University received a prestigious award from the Department
of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources and
Environment. They earned a “Gold Award” in the category of Environmental
Activities for Youth within Universities (Green Youth) and a “Silver Award” in
the category of Children and Youth Networks on Climate Change and
Environment (CCE Children & Youth) for the year 2024 at the TK Palace Hotel
and Convention in Bangkok. Dr. Yutthaphan Kamwan, the club advisor, and
students accepted the awards from Dr. Pirun Saiyasitphanit, the Director-
General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment. This event
aimed to promote the role of children and youth in sharing ideas and
participating in setting directions for climate change initiatives, as well as
showcasing achievements in network development aligned with national
and international climate change solutions.
