Overview of the Institution
Roi Et Rajabhat University has developed an effective education system by constantly improving our quality with technology and constant assessment. In order to make ourselves grow stronger in providing knowledge and ability for learners, we have 7 faculties with a variety of courses in the Faculty of Education, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Nursing, Business Administration & Accountancy, Information Technology, Laws and Political Science, and the Graduate School. For master’s and doctoral degrees, the Graduate School offers a Master of Education, Master of Arts in English Language Teaching,Master of Arts in Urban Development Strategies, Master of Business Administration, Master of Education in Curriculum and Instructional, Master of Education in Music Education, and Master of Education in Educational Research and Evaluation. The doctoral degrees offered are the Ph.D. in Educational Administration, Ph.D. in Educational Research and Evaluation and the Ph.D. in Leadership and Policy Innovation. There are also short courses available focusing on languages, such as Thai for Foreigners, Western languages and also Asian languages.
RERU is located in Roi Et province, 12 kilometers from Roi Et Airport. Currently, there are over 10,000 students enrolled in the university. Our university has 48 programs offered to the students. 9,700 students are in bachelor degree programs while 300 students are studying for masters and doctoral degrees. Since 2001, we have become the center of academic services connected closely to the development of the local community. Our graduates are valued human resources in various organizations nationwide. From the past to present, we have been organizing our university to become the “Q- GREEN University”.

The Graduate School offers the graduate degrees of Master of Education, Master of Arts in English Language Teaching, and Master of Public Administration (Local Government). The doctoral degree is offered in Educational Administration. The graduates from Roi Et Rajabhat University are persons of academic excellence and ethical integrity. Theses and dissertations will be supervised for academic quality to have the research published widely and presented at academic conferences.

2. Faculty of Education
The Faculty of Education offers the Bachelor of Education and Master of Education. This is the largest faculty in the university with a wide range of a major of Graduate Diploma in the Teacher Profession and 10 majors for Bachelor Degrees, which are English, Thai, Mathematics, Computer Science, Social Studies, Music, Arts, Science, Early Childhood, and Physical Education. For Master degree, the Faculty of Education offers 2 majors which are M.Ed. in International Research & Evaluation and M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction. The faculty has a short course for Teaching the Thai language to foreigners. It also cooperates with a community college in Childhood Curriculum. Moreover, the faculty is now developing new curricula for masters and doctoral degrees. It aims to produce teachers with high standards, knowledge, and skills for the teaching profession. The graduates from the college are qualified to serve local schools for their needs in educational management.

3. Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences
The Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers the Bachelor of Arts, the Bachelor of Science, and the Bachelor of Communication Arts. The Bachelor of Arts includes 4 majors in Business English, Chinese, Community Development, and Information Science. The Bachelor of Science includes 9 majors: Computer Science, Animal Science, Sport Science, Electronics, Electrical Studies, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Public Health. There is one major in the Bachelor of Communication Arts. Students will complete academic and various skills such as language and communication as well as scientific subjects and research. The graduates will have professional virtue, cultural preservation, and hands-on experience. They will become proficient graduates who are qualified in the competitive job market.
Our research in science complies with international and national research interests. We are currently conducting several research projects under funding of NRCT (The National Research Council of Thailand) and our internal research funds. Research projects in renewable energy in the local area are included in the following projects: biogas from agricultural materials, bioethanol from corn cellulose, ethyl alcohol fermentation and distillation, and biodiesel from cooking oil. They are our efforts to seek alternative choices of energy to improve the quality of living at the optimal cost.

6. Faculty of Nursing
The Faculty of Nursing offers the Bachelor of Nursing Science program. It is a new faculty that has been approved by the National Nursing Council. Students will be taught to be professional nurses according to the standard of practices. Nursing graduates from the faculty will be serving in the local community and National Health Service sectors. Research in nursing science also contributes to knowledge development and transfer to community health development. The faculty also focuses on Thai local wisdom in order to make students aware of the national culture.

Roi Et Rajabhat University is excellent in producing quality teachers and traditional music. Moreover, the University is a center of learning institution, of national resources, and of research on local wisdom. RERU has conducted research on jasmine rice since 2014 because Roi Et province is famous for Thung Kula Ronghai jasmine rice. Furthermore, jasmine rice is one of the most famous varieties of rice in the world and Thung Kula jasmine rice received a certificate from GI. In 2015, Roi Et Rajabhat University participated in Joint Research with Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia in English as an ASEAN Language.
